Mum's Play Football was a programme set up by Staffordshire FA to allow ladies to go from supporting the game to playing.
It was designed to provide mums of the game or beginners to give football a go in a relaxed environment that suits them. You must be 16 years or older to take part in these sessions, and although titled Mum’s Play Football you do not have to be a mum to participate.
Mum's Play is no longer active under this name as those who started this programme wanted a more competitive offer in which a small-side women's football opportunity was established with the Staffordshire Girls & Ladies Football League. A variety of clubs offer a 'Just Play' session in a couple of different formats which is the most similar opportunity available to Mum's Play.
