Appeals Against the Decisions of Leagues

Modified on Mon, 8 Sep at 2:10 PM

How do we appeal against a decision made by our league?

If your club disagrees with a decision made by your league (for example, on discipline, competition rules, or registration matters), you have the right to appeal.

  1. Check the decision notice – the league must issue a written decision, including details of the charge or ruling.

  2. Timeframe – appeals must usually be lodged within 14 days of the written decision being issued.

  3. How to appeal:

    • Log into the Club Portal.

    • Go to Discipline > Appeals.

    • Select “League Decision Appeal” and complete the form.

  4. Grounds for appeal – an appeal must be based on one of the recognised grounds (e.g., misapplication of rules, unfair process, disproportionate sanction).

  5. Fee – an appeal fee may be payable. If the appeal is successful, this fee is refunded.

For further guidance, see the FA Handbook – Discipline & Appeals or contact support@staffordshirefa.com.
