For the 2024-2025 season, adult football teams that include 16 and 17-year-old players are required to have a named Club Welfare Officer. Here are the key requirements:
Requirements for Adult Teams with 16/17-Year-Old Players
- Club Welfare Officer: All adult open-age clubs must have a named Club Welfare Officer

- DBS Check: The Club Welfare Officer and all eligible team officials (managers, coaches, assistants) must undertake a DBS check by the 2024/2025 season

- Player Welfare Course: The Club Welfare Officer and all eligible team officials must complete a Player Welfare Course by the 2024/2025 season

Additional Requirements for Adult Disability Teams
- Clubs with adult disability teams must have a named Club Welfare Officer who holds an in-date Safeguarding Adults course
